Linda Robertson

Linda Robertson is an artist, author, and art instructor. She creates imagined landscapes with lush botanical forms and vibrant colors reminiscent of places she loves, such as her childhood home in Hawaii and her current residence in the Northwestern United States. For over two decades she has exhibited her paintings and taught art workshops throughout the United States and internationally.

Linda recently traveled to Mulranny Arts in Ireland to lead an art retreat, then returned a few months later to teach at the annual gathering of the International Encaustic Artists. She founded the Portland chapter of the IEA over 15 years ago and was one of the first recipients of their prestigious La Vendéenne Award for outstanding contributions to the advancement and practice of encaustic art. Her popular book series is called Embracing Encaustic.

Linda Robertson's rich, multi-layered paintings celebrate how color and light interplay with nature. She says "my work elicits a sense of movement, as nature is never completely still. As breezes blow and weather changes, there is an exhilarating sense of mystery that reminds us that there is always light."

Linda is dedicated not only to teaching others and creating her own work, but to sharing the healing properties of art and her reverence for the environment. View more of her work at LindaRobertsonArts.com
