This Temperature Regulator controls the temperature of the Enkaustikos Hot Wax Pen to the exact temperature that you need when working in encaustics to prevent burning through the paint.
It is specifically calibrated to provide the range of temperatures required to manipulate wax paints and without the ability to regulate temperature, you will actually burn the wax paint, create unwanted smoke, and the attachments will not work properly. The Temperature Regulator is an absolute neccessity and should be purchased at the same time that you purchase a Hot Wax Pen.
