Hot Cakes Display Rack #1 is our introductory rack we recommend to retailers as the best way to start off your Hot Cakes collection. The Introductory Rack features many essential encaustic painting supplies (everything you see in the picture/list above). The rack itself, holds nineteen of our best-selling encaustic colors in the popular 1.5 fl oz Hot Cake size. Each metal hook holds two of each color so you will have plenty of product on hand. The introductory rack also includes three tins of our 1.5 fl oz Wax Medium which those tins hang directly on the bottom right hook of the rack --this is a perfect way to remind artists to pick up wax medium at the same time they stock up on colors. This rack, being a starter rack, also comes with an additional three tins of 6 fl oz Wax Medium and six tins of 6 fl oz Slick Wax. The wax medium and slick wax are considered perfect compliments to encaustic paints. Wax medium is used for top coats, glazing techniques, and as an extender to our paints while the slick wax is our cleaning wax engineered to clean brushes in between color changes.
The rack itself has the ability to hold up to 3 tins on each metal hook but as said before, when you purchase the Introductory rack it comes with only two of each color as a way to start you off with encaustic products. Behind each row of colors is a barcode on the display rack so that you know which colors you need to order more of once stock runs low. Retailers should appreciate the small footprint of this rack as it is only 12" x 8" and all of our additional add-on racks are offered in this size. The Introductory Rack includes a built-in product literature pocket--a unique feature that the other add-on racks do not have. As a new Hot Cakes dealer, you will be supplied with our Enkaustikos brochure that fits in this pocket to help inform walk-in store customers about encaustic painting and our product line. In fact, our brochure is very informative and even includes our color chart.
